Before Your Treatment
6Avoid blood thinnersAvoid aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3), and other medications or supplements that thin the blood 7 days before your procedure to limit the risk of bruising. Never stop a prescribed medication (anticoagulant, aspirin for cardiac purposes) without your doctor's approval.
Avoid AlcoholDo not consume alcoholic beverages for at least 48 hours before the treatment: alcohol can increase bleeding and bruising.
Arrive with a clean faceCome to your appointment with a clean face, without makeup, cream, or other skincare products, to reduce the risk of infection.
After Your Treatment
15Do not touch the treated areaDo not touch, rub, or massage the treated areas for at least 24 hours to avoid the toxin spreading to non-targeted muscles.
Stay in an upright positionStay in an upright position (without lying down or leaning forward) for 4 hours after the treatment to avoid product migration.
Avoid intense sportsNo intense training, heavy lifting, or activities that increase blood flow to the face for 24 hours after the treatment.
