Before Your Treatment
3Avoid blood thinnersAvoid aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3), and other medications or supplements that thin the blood 7 days before your procedure to limit the risk of bruising. Never stop a prescribed medication (anticoagulant, aspirin for cardiac purposes) without your doctor's approval.
Avoid AlcoholDo not consume alcoholic beverages for at least 48 hours before the treatment: alcohol can increase bleeding and bruising.
Arrive with a clean faceCome to your appointment with a clean face, without makeup, cream, or other skincare products, to reduce the risk of infection.
After Your Treatment
8Do not touch / massage the areaDo not touch, press, or massage the treated area for at least 24 hours to avoid filler migration.
Apply iceApply ice packs wrapped in a cloth to the treated area for 10 to 15 minutes several times a day to reduce swelling and discomfort.
Avoid intense sportsAvoid any intense physical activity, heavy lifting, and strenuous exercises for 24 to 48 hours to prevent exacerbating swelling and bruising.
