Before Your Treatment
3Avoid blood thinnersAvoid aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3), and other medications or supplements that thin the blood 7 days before your procedure to limit the risk of bruising. Never stop a prescribed medication (anticoagulant, aspirin for cardiac purposes) without your doctor's approval.
Avoid AlcoholDo not consume alcohol for 24 hours prior to the procedure to limit bruising.
Arrive with a clean faceCome to your appointment with a clean face, without makeup, cream, or other skincare products, to reduce the risk of infection.
After Your Treatment
7Do not touch the treated areaDo not touch or rub the treated area for 6 hours after the treatment to avoid introducing bacteria.
Minimal swelling expectedSkinboosters cause very little swelling compared to volumizing fillers. A slight redness is normal for 24 hours.
Quick resumption of activitiesYou can generally resume your usual activities immediately. Light physical activity is possible after 6 hours.
