Before Your Treatment
5Avoid blood thinnersAvoid aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3), and other medications or supplements that thin the blood 7 days before your procedure to limit the risk of bruising. Never stop a prescribed medication (anticoagulant, aspirin for cardiac purposes) without your doctor's approval.
Avoid AlcoholDo not consume alcoholic beverages for at least 48 hours before the treatment: alcohol can increase bleeding and bruising.
Stay Hydrated BeforeDrink plenty of water the day before and the morning of the treatment to facilitate blood draw and obtain better quality PRP.
After Your Treatment
11Do not touch the areaDo not touch or rub the treated area for at least 6 hours to avoid infection or displacement of the product.
Apply iceApply ice packs wrapped in a cloth to the treated area for 10 to 15 minutes several times a day to reduce swelling and discomfort.
Avoid MakeupDo not wear makeup for 6 to 12 hours after the treatment to reduce the risk of infection.
