Stop Retinoids BeforeStop retinoids, retinol, and prescription skin treatments 5 to 7 days before your chemical peel.
Avoid the sun beforeLimit sun exposure and avoid any sunburn for 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
After Your Treatment
5Do not pull off the skinLet the skin naturally peel. Do not scratch, pull, or tear off the peeling skin.
Moisturize frequentlyApply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer several times a day to soothe the skin and promote healing.
Strict Sun ProtectionApply a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 50+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure. After a chemical peel, the skin is extremely sensitive to pigmentation disorders.
