Before Your Treatment
4Stop Retinoids BeforeStop retinoids, retinol, and prescription skin treatments 5 to 7 days before your chemical peel.
Avoid the sun beforeLimit sun exposure and avoid any sunburn for 2 weeks prior to the treatment.
Antiviral Treatment (Deep Peel)For a medium to deep peel, an antiviral treatment may be prescribed to start 1 to 2 days prior, in order to prevent an outbreak of cold sores.
After Your Treatment

Strict Sun ProtectionApply a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 50+ daily and avoid direct sun exposure. After a chemical peel, the skin is extremely sensitive to pigmentation disorders.
